I was very much bmi style, they used to love doing things like that. I remember during the 2010 world cup when @flybmi was very new they were giving prizes away for all sorts of pointless tweets just to drive traffic to their Twitter page.
I can't remember BA doing stuff like that (their twitter feed was mostly standard marketing pages). Perhaps some of bmi social media stayed with BA rather than laid off?
