I am flying BKK-TLV on LY 82 on 1/12/2013
and TLV - HKG LY 75 15/01/2014
I have bought these tickets already and all of them are the cheapest economy fare. I have already paid to upgrade my seat to Premium economy for the BKK-TLV leg, but it isn't available on the return flight.
I have minimal cash to my name and no loyalty program points of any use. I JUST joined matmid and booked these tickets with my matmid membership, have about 35,000 QFF points in the bank, a polite professional manner, can do attitude and unquenchable thirst for luxury above and beyond what I can afford. I also arrive in Israel early in the morning with a full and very hectic schedule ahead of me and arrive home with about 10 hours before i have to be at work so I am keen to get as much rest on the flights as possible.
Does anyone have any information/advice or personal experiences that may help me either upgrade or make these very long flights as comfortable as possible. I am possibly willing to pay for an upgrade, but is it likely to be available? and if it is in your experience given the quality of El Al Biz class is it worth the money?
Thanks so much in advance for taking the time to assist me and I do apologize if I am repeating a topic already existing elsewhere (i have searched extensively..)
Regards,
Dee
BKK-TLV - if its a 747, with a 3 classes plane, then sometimes they lower biz section is being sold as economy service with biz seat for 450$ (instead of the 150$ you paid for premium economy).
TLV-HKG - always 777 and those do not have premium economy.
upgrade on the plane from economy to biz if seats available - can be done for 700$ per leg.
