I am looking for some input from those who either live in the area or who have travelled the area. I am running the Prague Marathon in May 2014. As of right now, the plan is to fly into Prague arriving the Friday before the race (which is on Sunday). I would be flying out of Prague the following Sunday. In between, I'd like some recommendations on two or three cities so sightsee.

I really don't want to rent a car - I'm fine with taking trains or flying. Initially, I'm thinking Krakow and Vienna as a pair or heading the opposite direction towards Munich.

Lastly, I don't speak any of the languages. Not a problem since I ran a marathon this year in Barcelona and learned key Spanish and Catalan phrases during my long runs. And I'm sure Prague will be very much like Barcelona in that this will definitely not be my only trip to see the city.
