I booked a business class ticket on aa.com, multi-city LHR-JFK-LAS .....
JFK-LAS was booked into AA domestic First automatically.
It was made clear to me during the booking process on aa.com that the JFK-LAS was booked into First as I could select seats during the booking process.
Pricing was with a stopover in JFK was slightly more expensive than direct flights on BA to West Coast. Normally, I would fly BA transatlantic and get an AA K-UP fare for the internal legs. With the new AA Business seats, my business may shift unless I can get a LCY flight.
Have a play with aa.com. You can select AA or BA transatlantic flights on it.
