Looks like the whole game was a bit of a con with the A380. Only BA know how tweets translate in to miles, but according to the game the lead changed hand a number of times, with the A380 pulling a long way in front and only a late surge in tweets saved the day for social media.
However, looking at the number of tweets (thanks to tools like hashtags.org) there was a surge of activity at the time the plane took off and then the tweets trailed away as people went to bed.
Who would have guessed BA's social media was just made up on the fly?
