Couple more rounds and the WN CP will be gone, as will I, if not before that. I give it 18 months.
I think that eventually airlines will devalue their programs so that miles/points are worth ~$0.01 each. During that process they will continue to reduce benefits as well.
It's reasons like this that I don't support the US Air/AA merger. I know it's off topic but many in this thread have complained that they don't have any other options out of their local airport. With fewer airline options there are fewer alternatives when airlines make changes that hurt the consumer.
