Crappy app, but I used it anyway. I didn't receive the bonus points for the promotion. When I called the diamond line they explained that since I received 500 points for using an american express card, I cannot receive the 1000 points for using the app. Unfortunately there is no way to turn off the american express 500 point promotion.

I didn't think these were mutually exclusive! Can HHonors Representative care to comment?

FWIW they gave me the 1000 points as a one time exception, but I will not be using the buggy app again if this issue is not resolved.
