Hyatt.com had a non-refundable rate and a refundable rate that was higher. I wanted Hyatt to BRG the third party's refundable rate but the agent said no because Hyatt.com still offers a lower rate, albeit non-refundable.
As I said, I'm new to the process, but is this the correct interpretation of the BRG T&Cs?
Different agents have different interpretation of the rules. It is futile to argue with them. Just thank them for their time, hang up, call back, and talk with someone else.
I usually only give up after being denied three times. About half of my successes have occurred on the second or third call.
