We took a voluntary downgrade to J on a three class segment JFK-LAX - Asked politely a few times, but was clearly told each time that unless the bucket opens up, we have accepted the downgrade. Had alerts set via expert flyer, and the bucket never opened. First went out with only one passenger. I had no problem in J.
