Amazon Local Deals + Amazon.com -- Don't make my mistake....
Went to Staples and got a $50 Amazon GC yesterday because I MISTAKENLY thought that I could use it to purchase an Amazon Local Deal. Wrong I emailed and got this very prompt reply:
I apologize for the frustration with your Amazon.com gift card.

AmazonLocal.com operates independently of Amazon.com and other Amazon websites.

I'm sorry, but the ability to use Amazon.com gift cards on AmazonLocal.com is not currently an option.

The Amazon.com gift card will be valid for use on anything found on Amazon.com.
So.....don't make my mistake Now I need to buy something on Amazon to resell on eBay to recoup my $50
