WARNING If You Are Thinking of Staying Here
This is pretty unbelievable. I'm at the Cornhusker right now, which seems to be a nice property, but there's something you should know if you are planning to stay here...
There are NO POWER OUTLETS near the very small desk area. The front desk gave some story about the lamps that are supposed to have electrical outlets being stuck in customs. There are such lamps on the nightstands, and even if they get those lamps, that gives you two low power outlets. Obviously the hotel went cheap on the renovations, which makes you wonder where else they are cutting corners.
They are bringing up a power strip, but that was promised some time ago and isn't here.
It's obvious this hotel is not a place for business travelers. Even weekend football fans bring laptops, so it's not likely for them, either. Maybe it's geared towards people who want to give their children an authentic 1950s experience.
Funny thing: even though there is no way to power it, there is a coffee maker taking up about a third of the desk space. I guess it's a decorating statement.
Big thumbs down.
