It's not working. I tried this last year. If he/she turns two before the LH outbound flight BA will charge the normal children fare.

It seems to work online but I talked to the Bremen Callcenter and the lady tried to make this booking (my doughter was 1+364 for the SH to London and 2 for the LH the next day) but it was not possible.
