Thanks for the vote of confidence! The problem I have with this itinerary is it's going purely on reading and vague personal preference, this is actually our first trip to SG.
Thanks for the info on Keong Saik road v. Night markets. That works sort of better for us in terms of not going far. We'll basically be there every night anyway, so I think that'll get a lot of time. And to address Ya Kun now, I wasn't entirely sure when they'd be open, but knew it was something we'd need to see, so I tried to grab the nearest one to the hotel. I suspect, though, if it's good we'll have to come back.
Also: I was going back to my map and realized I forgot about the Department of Caffeine on Duxton Rd. which is the other coffee place I should probably try.
Gardens by the Bay is one of those things we do want to see, but I'm having a hard time putting it into a specific day/time. We could do it on day 5 or 6, though, whichever day we don't do the Botanical Gardens. How is it on the weekend in terms of crowds?
We'll check out One Fullerton for NYE, too. I've seen it mentioned before, so a local's confirmation is great!
Thanks for the good advice! I'm not too worried about running out of sights, though. You may have got the (correct) impression that we don't need a huge landmark to enjoy our time, just some good food and something unique. From what I read and hope to see, I think SG's got that in spades for us.
