I'm clearing out my SEN account with Lufthansa, opening up Aegean to keep Star Gold, but committing more longhaul flights to BA.

While Lufthansa M&M generally has much better availability for award flights than BA, the airline seems to have engineered itself into a tailspin of deteriorating service and cuts to the FFP. Not a happy combination. So that's me out.

I think a number of M&M members, particularly those not resident in Germany, will be assessing the programmes of alternative Star Alliance carriers, or cutting their losses and moving to different alliances. It's an opportunity for BAEC to attract the refugees.
