Have done SYD/HNL/SYD with JQ few times in both J & Y , unless you get front row in J don't bother the seats in front really recline, book Y exit seats.

If you can go Qantas then Y in second row exit seats 35A/B & 35J/K more room than you need, a real bargain at extra $90 each way.
