Noted from a local friend who banks at City National Bank that they too have started issuing EMV cards. Those who live in SoCal region would know City National Bank from radio ads that end with the catchphrase "City National Bank - The Way Up."

Sure enough, their credit card webpage lists three cards with EMV chips:

Plain jane "Platinum" VISA card has $0 annual fee and no forex fees for credit card account holders in NY (3% for account holders in other states). Find it odd that a Los Angeles based bank will offer 0% forex fee for NYers but not elsewhere; maybe they think NYers are far more likely to travel to Europe of Angelenos? LOL

If you're a NYer, might be another option to look at.
