Business Class
Oh the good ol' AA business class seats. Flat but not quite flat. Just as you are about to succeed in fooling your body that you are actually sleeping on a complete flat surface and fall asleep, you uncontrollably slide, at a glacial pace, down to the floor.
So, instead, let's focus on the food an amenities:
Menu, Bose headset, Samsung Galaxy Tab, amenity kit, updated menu, iPhone 4S, and a sweatshirt. Oh wait, the latter two were mine.
One of the high lights of AA's two cabin flights, for me, is the high stemmed wine glasses. It somehow fools me into thinking that I am actually dining at a restaurant somewhere.
A decent looking salmon appetizer and premium salad with candied pecans and pickled onions were presented on the tray. AA actually has recently "enhanced" its meal service in business class. For a normal three cabin business service, the meal has indeed been slightly enhanced. However, for 2 cabin flights, the meal service has actually been downgraded. A larger appetizer and salad, as well as an amouse bouche (antipasto) used to be served in separate courses, representing a premium business class service. Now, they are gone.
Having had the curried shrimp and scallops dish several times before on AA, I enjoyed it this time as well.
My Choice of sundae: butterscotch and butterscotch only.
Shortly before landing, breakfast is served by the surly crew. South American routes and surly go hand in hand like peanut butter and jelly.
