Different fare rules outbound and inbound

Was looking at purchasing a CE ticket and noticed that the outbound is completely flexible while the inbound is completely restricted.

The outbound was £300 while the inbound was £200. So I presume it's due to availability of classes.

So how does it work if I need to cancel? Do I get back the entire £300 for the outbound and only the taxes from the inbound?

On another point, when selecting Economy vs CE on the outbound, the inbound fares rose if I selected CE on the outbound.

So, for example, Economy inbound was £100 if I chose Economy outbound, but If I chose CE outbound then Economy rose to £120. CE on the return also rose similarly. Taxes?
