Delta allows something does not mean
Alaska allows it. AS generally specifies routes where partner awards can be used and doesn't have specific award zones with specific costs like other carriers do (for instance: CX J for North America->Asia is cheaper than DL on
the same award, same destination)
That the thing about not being in an alliance. Other examples revenue and miles wise.
KE members can redeem on EK routes not available to AS members such as to Australia. KE members flying in Emirates only earn miles in full fare Y while AS gets 50% on lower fare buckets.
AA members can not book a stop over in HKG on a CX award but AS members can.
DL members cannot book one way awards for 1/2 the RT on any carriers but AS members can on AF & KLM
