I canceled the ticket and tried to claim back the taxes form Expedia and already called two different agents, spend an hour or so on the phone, talked to a manager and they don't want to refund the taxes at all. They claim that IRS policy prevents them from refunding taxes. This is most likely bogus because the ticket does not touch US at all. I called LOT and they told me that all taxes except for YQ can be refunded but I need to contact the agent (i.e Expedia).

Any ideas how to proceed? Credit card dispute? It was a booking for two persons and I should have gotten 2x50 EUR.
