So my question simply is am I booked and paid of is it a loose "reservation" that has not been ticketed, and if it is the latter how do I push the ticketing through??
My experience is similar and may be helpful. FWIW.
Yesterday I booked a domestic flights through my company's automated system (which feeds into Qantas Business Travel). Usually I receive an immediate reply from my company's system, followed within a few minutes by invoices and an e-ticket from QBT. Yesterday I got the first (company) email but not the others. Like you, on the "My bookings" site it just said "booking" instead of the segment; under each flight segment it said "confirmed" and I could make seat selections.
After reading your post, I called my company's travel centre. In my case, both segments are flexible (I usually book cheap-o non-flex on at least one segment). The ticketing deadline is therefore next week sometime and my company's system waits until then to ticket the flight. The person I spoke to pushed the ticketing through and I now have all the paperwork. (The e-ticket shows the seats I selected yesterday.

). Under "My bookings" it still says "booking" instead of the airport names but I'll give it some time to cycle through.
