I am not "upset" at United, just wondering what their policy is as far as redeposit of some miles back into my account for the downgrade to Y. It was United after all that books international connecting flights at IAH with only a 70 minute window to clear customs and then get bags, re-check bags and get to the connecting gate. I can't imagine that is a realistic possibility on even the slowest of days.

It was a bit disconcerting to see uniformed non-rev psgrs (a couple of captains) in F seats as we walked passed them in shame to our last row middle seats after being told F was full up with no waitlist clearances.
