We were re-booked onto a very crowded later flight into LAX but there was no Business Class seat availability. Can I get some miles re-deposited into my OnePass Account since they could not accommodate us in Business on the 3 hour flight to LAX? If so, how do I request this? There were two of us traveling on the award tkts and only my partner has their boarding pass for the re-booked fight. My boarding pass has disappeared (not surprising given we had just arrived on a 13 hr flght and then endured a 3 hr layover and lines at United Customer Service in Houston that night)

Thanks for any suggestions...
Sounds like a stressful experience waiting in a long CBP line knowing you are probably going to misconnect. But I'm not sure what you think UA should have done. Undoubtedly, the business class seats to LAX were legitimately filled. IAH-LAX is a very popular route due to the international connections in IAH. Also, the domestic F cabins on most of the aircraft on that route are nothing special. Honestly, I think most pax would be pleased to score the business class seat for the long haul (IST-IAH) and that UA was able to reaccommodate them promptly following a misconnnect that was not its fault.
