Advice on Porter compensation rules

Does anyone have tips on how to find out about compensation for Canadian carriers?

A friend just had her Porter flight from IAD to YTZ canceled (gone tech according to the carrier - Porter sent out cancellation emails at 130pm, but she was in the US, had no wifi during the day and didn't get the news until she went to the airport), and it's the last flight of the day. She has to work in the morning, and she's being put up at the Hilton near the airport. What other compensation is she entitled to?
