In theory, they shouldn't be blocking out GM+ from EC that much... since the yahoos (like FO) can only get EC for free at OLCI. They'll mainly pose problems for a GM+ if they SDC onto other flights since there's more people eligible for free EC by that point. FO get the worst part of the deal since they'll now be competing for the EC @ OLCI with anyone with the ST pack, and STP'ers will start to clog up preferred seats as well.

If I were primarily a holiday only traveller, the ST pack could be a real steal! No new credit card, and even 2 checked bags (1 per person in a couple) at turkey day and christmas is $200 in bag fees. That pushes the preferred seats/EC, the 20% RDM bonus, and Zone 1 boarding as nice little extras. DL AmEx doesn't get you preferred or EC access. Definitely a major benefit if you're on the MD88s or CRJs where 2+3, 1+2, or 2+2 seats towards the front can be a valuable commodity, especially with tight connections and lots of leisure travelers on board.
Now what Delta should add a SkyPriority upgrade package for FOs at $99 for a 3 mo. period. SP up could add a 2nd bag free, SkyPriority boarding and EC at booking. Don't include the GM+ priority phone line or the SDC fee waiver.
