24 Hours in Shanghai - first time - what to do?

Viewing the bund from the binjiang tourist walk on the Pudong side is much nicer than seeing it up close amongst 10,000s of your closest provincial tourist friends. View is much better.

Also don't miss walking through the French Concession for a look at the best part of shanghai. I'd recommend starting at Anfu road/Urumqi road and walking west on Anfu until Wukang road which you can then follow to Huai Hai road. Lots of nice old buildings and great eats in that area.

Take the subway-maglev combo back to pudong once you've gotten used to the walk from the subway to the hyatt. Taxi to hotel.
