Hi all, longtime lurker, first time poster. I am taking my first trip to Europe (Munich, Prague, Norway) in a couple weeks. I have read that in Europe, most merchants now only accept credit cards with chip and pin rather than magnetic style strips. Is this true? I would prefer to use the sapphire card in Europe with no transaction fees if possible. I do have a Citi Thank you card with the chip and pin style but that card has foreign transaction fees.
