The guy across the aisle from me was doing chewing on a recent flight. I didn't have an issue with the smell, but he kept spitting in the airsick bag. I noticed it because I initially thought he was getting sick. Then it just kept making me gag when I would see him spitting in the bag. I tried not to look - but once I noticed it, I couldn't "un-notice" it.
