I don't understand why the main complaint for the iPhone 5S is the size. I have big hands for a female (larger than even many males) and I find the size of the iPhone perfect. The grip is just right and the phone performs well for what I want it for (except Maps, which is messed up).
Sure, I can watch videos clearly on larger screens, but that's what the iPads are for? Thus the two sizes for iPads? I have held the newer Samsung phones and it is too large to be used comfortably.
I'm in the camp who does not understand Android and its ability to be manipulated. I like to not worry about viruses, plus what do I really want to have customised? The themes...? Plus I keep pressing on the touch-screen buttons to both sides of the Samsung and then the program exits... $#^#& what are they doing there?!
I have never had a case for my iPhones but just decals and protective stickers that cover mainly the back. No scratches at all on the front (the back is all messed up once I get sick of the decals and remove them) and I drop and drag my phones across surfaces or just turn them round and round when I'm bored. A few hundred drops and only once did I have to change the screen because I broke the LCD inside (glass still perfect on the outside) after dropping it on tarmac.
I do agree that the iPhones have suffered a loss in actual innovation for every phone released since the first, but they have set the bar so high (I was still using N73 before the iPhone and it was considered high-tech!) that the next logical step is still a ways ahead.
