There are often plenty of aisle seats left well into the B group. They just aren't necessarily the "prime" seats.
I ended up with second last aisle seat in back of plane. All earlier rows only had center. Noticed a lot more than 15 passengers board A16-30, and additional Alist and families boarded before B. To top off my wonderful experience, it took 35 minutes for baggage at MDW. I've had better experience at DL and AA.
