Both cards have strong points, but I'll give you this. Chase has the benefit of being Visa, which is excepted almost everywhere, and they don't charge FTF on pretty much any card with an AF. Amex isn't accepted internationally as much, and charges FTF except on high value cards like the Amex Plat and Centurion.

On the other hand, Amex's card benefits, warranty, etc. are amazing, and if they could overcome the FTF issue and acceptance issue I would carry one instead of my CSP. CSP has these benefits but the way they are administered is a joke and cripples the benefits to the point that I don't even consider them benefits.
