Why pay $300+ to fly US in Y. Sure FC is only $30 more. The day after Thanksgiving is a very light travel day.

And yes, I don't fly FC, I like to fly with the kettles in the back. Give me a break, I am on 4-8 flts a week, every week. Me know how to fly and on this one - me no pay $150 extra to fly US. I'll take WN zone 1 or 2. And again if you do not know how to get in zone 1 or 2 - stick with US in FC and enjoy the snack basket for 1-1/4 hours. Expensive snacks at $180- more. I'll just stick with the peanuts on WN.

If the fares were the same I would be on UA or US. The fares are NOT THE SAME.
I don't think OP is looking at the day after Thanksgiving -- flights on US on that day are pretty much the same as for WN on that day and much cheaper than OP mentions. OP said "right" after Thanksgiving. That could mean a lot of things, and I would be surprised if there is a significant difference between US and WN on this route. I fly it fairly regularly, and the flights on the nonstops seem to be pretty much the same almost all the time, except I can sometimes find a $94 on WN when US is in the $115 range. OP must be looking at a date where there is something going on driving up fares, and they are probably high on both airlines for whenever OP is looking.
