Well, this is a new record by all metrics.

Got the 5% CB card (on G/G/D), and, exactly 8 days after receiving the card and spending ~$3500 at G/G/D merchants (spending spread evenly over the course of the week), my card is now closed. Reasons not disclosed, but, it was done by 'loss prevention' department.

Hope those of you that just applied in hopes of getting 5X have a better run at it than I.
