Guess I was quite fortunate. I just got back from LIM and didn't experience any of the long lines through security and immigration (for both my domestic and intl flights). It seemed most of the people were waiting in line to check in bags or print their boarding passes but that was on the other side of the airport and not up the escalators.
I did have to budget about an hour drive to the airport since I was leaving Saturday evening when traffic was pretty bad. There were also a lot of people attending Mistura.
Is there free/paid wi-fi in the airport? I noticed an AP named Vex and when I connected it says Choose your ISP. I'm not sure if that's for locals only. I ended up in the SUMAQ lounge where internet speeds were OK - I was able to make a VOIP call to the US.
