I fly this route from time to time. It's actually an elite-heavy route. By far my worst upgrade percentage as a CP unless it's the middle of the day. Zone 1 is half the plane.

I have a theory about the snack basket -- I think it depends on where the equipment is coming from or going. I think when served by the A321 the snack basket is common.

Also, note that while it's only 601 miles, there is considerable tarmac time during the morning and evening. This flight is often scheduled for 1:50 or so northbound and 2:10 southbound. It's frequently two hours plus in the seat, depending on how early you board, so the bigger seat is nice.
