I maxed out the Daily Getaways and several of the summer 8,000 points promos, and I have plenty of points left to spare. This is the best ROI of my life. I was put off at first by the quirkiness of the program, but I am a complete Choice convert now!
The joy ride may end at some point (and, the term that the point redemption requirement will remain at 8K through 11/30, implying that the point redemption requirements will go up and stay up after that rather than remaining seasonally low, seems a new wrinkle in this promo), but so long as this sweet spot remains in the program, I have no problems buying DG packages and shifting stays to Choice during their "stay two" promotions. Choice makes it relatively easy to earn a free European night for less than $150 and, if you're lucky, less than $100. As you're seeing, it's not hard to find rooms in Europe that legitimately go for $250-300. That's tremendous value, especially given the free breakfasts and internet available to all.
