It is hard to say. It may be that the lower cabins are oversold (or predicted to be oversold) and so BA is looking to make some more space in the lower cabins. Opening an award seat in CW will not help with that, as it may be taken by a new booking.
If you are happy with the price, I'd take it. Remember you will get TP's and avios for CW.
