Not entirely correct: If the infant is younger than 7 days the parents need a letter from a physician that the baby is OK to fly, and then most airlines including Delta will take them. It is good practice for babies any age to give them something to drink when there are pressure differences. Don't think the sensitivity of the baby to pressure differences depends a lot on age.
