Where you in an exec room? If so, you should have been given access
If not, then you have no reason to complain. This lounge would be a zoo if they gave all gold's access, as easy as gold access it to get in the US with the number of US guests this property has.
If you have gotten access to the lounge not being on an exec level in the past, the property went above and beyond. It shouldn't be expected at all properties and be thankful. It's like the San Fran union square Hilton giving me a full breakfast last week, I didn't complain that I only received a cont. breakfast this morning at another property.
