+1, until June 2014 - just received my "membership rate increase" letter two weeks ago.

I had the AeroPlat initially, but dumped it in favour of the full Platinum three weeks prior to the rate increase. when I called into the AMEX CSR as asked them what benefit it provided over the standard Plat, if I was a 35E with AC, they said they could see absolutely no benefit.

If you have no AC status, you'll be able to access priority checkin lines and have your bags tagged. No priority boarding, and Amex Plat already has the same line as AC Top Tier's at YYZ.
