I did have the GE "interviewer" say he probably wouldn't put the GE # in profile if Delta already has me in system. I just thought it would help with my international travel.
I did exactly that - added GE number a few months back. Was nearly 100% before, solid 100% since entering GE number. Make sure your Secure Flight Passenger Data exactly matches your name as recorded in GOES and you will be fine.
