SFO International: from Gates G to A without leaving security zone?
My cousin and I are flying to CDG next Saturday; I'm on UA, he is on AF. Our departure times are only 1 hour apart but not from the same gate area at SFO International.
I'll have a 4 hour layover in SFO and plan to have him meet me at the UA Club after going through security. I'll board my flight at a G gate; he'll board his at an A gate.
Will he have to exit the G pier and re-clear security at A? Isn't there a way to stay within the secure area between G and A? When I take the walkway between T3 and International, at some point you have the option of going to G (right hand) or A (left hand). If you go to G, you emerge immediately adjacent to the UA Club. Any reason he couldn't do this in reverse: follow signage to T3 but then make the turn to A, still within the secure area?
