In Istanbul, you can get the Museum Pass, which is a card that will let you enter many museums without having to line up with the crowd. Although, you're going in November, so I don't know if it will be that crowded. I was there in July and was happy to have the pass. It was 72 Turkish Lira and good for 72 hours from the first time it was used, so you can check if it's worth it to you depending on which museums you intend to visit.
