AB's check-in desks in BCN are handled by swissport agents. Last Wednesday, I got to the airport about five hours before my flight to DUS because of the Catalonian independence endeavours... Curiously, there was a designated check-in desk for the flight to DUS (marked as closed on the screen above) that was manned by an agent who turned everyone away who was trying to check in or check luggage. He said that the desk would only be opened from 2 hours before the flight. Is this common practice in BCN?
unfortunately this applies to a lot airports in spain, i had the same problem in warsaw too.
