That is why I stopped holding short of DM; PM just is not worth what it used to be.
DM is the new PM
PM is the new GM
GM is the new FO (but I do think international lounge access is huge)
FO is kettle plus
I am not trying to belittle FO, but $2500? I have over 20K MQD and I don't think I am even close to one of DL's best customers. I would love to be FO, that would mean I was home more.
There are plenty of FO's who spend more than $2500 but don't make gold because of flying short routes. Remember, FO spend is not $2500, but $2500 to $4,999 and mileage is 25K miles to 49,999K Miles.
Also, while no individual FO is significantly valuable to Delta, as a group I imagine that they are. Lets imagine that there are just 10,000 FO's (I bet its higher than this). This group then represents, at $2500 per person, $25 million in revenue a year. So in a sense, there loyalty is actually important.
