The outbound to JFK's new departure time is 20:20, moved from 18:05. These flight combinations make sense as ba6 is scheduled to arrive at 3:20PM and the 179 to JFK is scheduled to depart at 6:05. Now the ba6 is scheduled to arrive at 6PM thus a 2 hour turnaround for 8:20PM. This can change of course, but also for the worse as ba5 hasn't departed yet.

EDIT:

DON'T leave late unless contacted, i would leave early and see if i could switch to an earlier flight!
Excellent analysis. I'll keep an eye on BA005 and BA179. I'll also ring BA tomorrow. Earlier flight isn't an option, I may need to switch to VS at 2225. A few questions:

1. At what point will BA put me on another carrier?
2. At what point will check-in desk close? I can OLCI, I believe, so will have BP.
3. At what point will security and lounge close? I believe they remain open for CX845 which is 0120 scheduled departure.
