Actually, it looks like the nonstop from HNL to IAD is NOT available on that date. I did some further digging, and it looks like it ceases 07 Jan through 14 Feb except for Saturdays.

It's actually part of a mileage and PQD run for me (IND to HNL to LIM to HNL to IND). This is the first time she-who-must-be-obeyed agreed to accompany me - at least to HNL and back, skipping the LIM part - and she thought it would be a good idea to invite her sister and my sister to be her company while I fly to South America for a couple of days. My sister-in-law made her own flight arrangements, but I used my miles, cash and upgrades for my wife and sister. I built it up as the first time they'd get to experience the lie-flat seats...

I'm going to try to get the HNL to EWR nonstop instead; wish me luck!
