Joining the Fray--In London next week.
I have stayed at both the Sheraton Park lane and The Le Meridien.
I have received upgrades at both almost 100% of the time.
Le Meridien has a club lounge however on several occasions it was overrun with children and it is not very big at all. The suite and rooms have always been adequate however it is a little older style and the renovation done was basic. The lounge manager chastised me for trying to bring a bottle of water up to my room....on two occasions (Me bad) Location is excellent.
Sheraton Park Lane has some Awful old rooms. Yet, I did indeed receive amazing upgrades on many occasions to various Hyde Park Suites.....Giant old 1920's bathrooms with heated towel racks and views over the Park. The decor is old and this hotel needs to be closed and renovated HOWEVER, they are still commanding high prices and running at high occupancy....so I am Not surprised they have not invested in a huge renovation which would cost 30 milllion pounds and bring in not much more room revenue...this has been debated for years at this property. Location is excellent.
I have a six night stay at the W Leicester square beginning this Wednesday. I used my Plat Suite night Awards and received my confirmed upgrade just last night. I will be in a Studio suite. I will come back to this board the week of the 23rd and update my take on this hotel. There is a lot of negativity out there and I will add my honest opinion as well. I tend to like the W brand, Union Square, San Fran etc. This location looks great as well!
