I have an ET booking and, as usual at T72 I logged in to try and bag 4A/C. Unfortunately, they were already gone so I took 4D/F in the hope that loads were low enough to allow us to keep 4E free. I'd move back to an exit row at T26 if the loads looked like they were increasing.
I logged back in a few hours later to find 4E was now allocated.
Rows 5-9 were almost all empty, as well as both exit rows. Why on earth would someone deliberately choose that seat? I'm sorely tempted to stay in 4D and ask them.
They may have simply thought that's where the empty legroom stopped, or they just try to get as far forward as possible, or they knew your plan and are now hoping for a row of 3 seats to themselves!
