I've had excellent lamb out of LHR, but it was on Air Canada. Air NZ out of Auckland had amazing lamb, I think the best I've ever had.
The molecular structure of beef and lamb are very different, so it's not as easy to wreck it through over cooking. With mutton it is virtually impossible! Good quality mutton can taste fantastic, quite a revelation. My retirement project is to get BA to put my mutton in First!
